Description
This plant powder by Biopark is composed of grounded and dried pods, leaves and bark of the Shikakai bush. It is brown in color and has a woody scent. It has good cleansing abilities, especially appropriate for hair care, but it does not lather much.
Encourages healthy hair growth, strengthens the roots, enhances flexibility, provides a silky feel and helps to detangle. It is great for the care of itchy scalp or dandruff, while soothing and cooling the scalp. Because it prevents hair fiber adhesion, it increases hair volume and protects the hair from outside effects, thus hair becomes more manageable. It has a natural low pH, it is very gentle and does not remove natural fat from inside the hair. It nourishes the hair, thus the use of conditioner is not obligatory.
Directions for use: Mix Shikakai powder with water until you are satisfied with the density of the paste. Let it sit for 20 minutes. Apply to hair and massage well into the scalp. Leave on for 20-30 minutes. Rinse with water, no need to shampoo. Use it weekly for healthy and vibrant hair. For even better results, mix equal parts of Shikakai, Aritha and Amla powder.

Shikakai for hair
Rated with 5 out of 5 stars.
An absolute must-have for me. My hair absolutely loves mask of shikakai, brahmi and marshmallow. This combo does miracles if you’re persistent with applying it.
Powder is nicely grinded, which is a factor for a hair mask.
Detangles, moisturises and gives an incredible shine! Plus makes skin healthy and calm. I have bumps, too much hair oil, occasional dandruff and painful zits. This herbal mask keeps all problems at bay. Plus hair looks and grows exceptionally well.

Excellent alternative to shampoo
Rated with 5 out of 5 stars.
Same as the other SHIKAKAI product - simply does its job as a shampoo alternative !
Adepts of this hair washing should simply find their own dosage and frequency and that would do the trick.

Great powder to use as a shampoo
Rated with 5 out of 5 stars.
Very nice product. Cleans hair really good even if the hair are very oily. Hair after washing feels really nice, shiny, soft, full of body. I have a sensitve and itchy scalp and this powder doesn't take away all the itchiness and my scalp still feels a little bit itchy after washing but not as much as it use to after other shampoos. Will continue using it.

My perfect natural hair cleansing solution
Rated with 5 out of 5 stars.
After having tried number of natural options (soda, eggs, rhassoul clay, reetha, baheda...) - this is by far my favourite. It cleans effectively, does not dry out my hair as much as soap nut (reetha) alone, keeps hair soft. If I go without washing my hair for longer than usual, adding reetha to give that extra washing power helps. I also finally removed baheda from my mix, as I noticed it strips my hair of my henna/indigo dye over time. So, Shikakai is my number one ingredient in my natural hair shampooing recipe!

Coarse grained
Rated with 3 out of 5 stars.
Not the best kind of shikakai powder as it is a bit coarse.

The amount of powder varies depending on the length of the hair .Mix this with hot water until a homogeneous paste is formed.
