TEA Natura Ghassoul - Argilla Saponifera, 350 g

There is a clay that is found in Morocco that has been used as a soap for many years (Xll - Xlll) by people in the North, as well as some in the Middle East. This clay is called "Ghassoul" or "Rhassoul" that is derived from the verb "Rassala", which means "to wash" in Arabic.

Ghassoul is obtained in Morocco and extracted from famous reservoirs on the brink of the Atlas Mountains, in the Moulouya valley, approximately 150 to 200 km away from Fes. The extraction method is very old and is carried out in tunnels and underground pits. As soon as the "Ghassoul" has been extracted from the underground tunnels, it is processed and cleansed in water. To rid the clay of impurities, it is laid down on an even surface or mats and dried in the sun. The result is a pure product that is marketed in the form of thin tiles or powder.

Application:

• Preparation before applying Ghassoul: Mix the clay with water in a glass or wooden bowl, using a wooden spoon until a homogeneous paste is formed. Apply the paste to the hair, face and body using circular motions. Rinse thoroughly.
• Use circa one spoon for short hair and circa two or more spoons for longer hair.
