Description
Avocado oil with Shea is made from pure avocado oil and Shea butter. It is a very soft white butter with high moisturizing abilities. It contains Vitamins A, B, G and E. It penetrates deeply into the skin where it nourishes it and leaves it soft and rejuvenated. It has almost no scent; you can blend a few drops of your favorite essential oil into the jar if you wish.
Because it is a good emollient, it is very popular as a massage butter or a body balm. It works great as a lip balm as well, even on dry and cracked lips. It can be used as a hair mask to promote healthy, shiny hair. It can help prevent damage of skin caused by sun rays. It is also great for treatment of skin with problems like eczema, psoriasis etc.
Directions for use:
Body care: for best results apply to wet skin after taking a bath or shower. Massage into the skin, taking more care of most dry skin parts (elbows, heels etc.).
Hair care: apply to dry hair, comb through and massage well into scalp. Leave on for at least an hour or overnight. The butter will penetrate the hair fiber to make it silky soft. Wash with a natural shampoo and use a conditioner if desired. You can apply a small amount on dry hair ends.
This butter is a mixture of natural plant butters and oils so it may contain micro spheres due to the crystallization process that occurs naturally while the ingredients are combined. The texture itself is very smooth and great for body care. If, however, you have very sensitive skin and it may feel unpleasant to you, just take a small amount of the butter and rub it quickly between your palms so it heats and softens, then apply it to your skin. You will enjoy the nourishing and moisturizing effect!

Nice feeling on the skin but bad smell
Rated with 3 out of 5 stars.
I really liked the structure and the feeling it leaves on the skin after using. But the SMELL! It is extreeemly strong and unpleasant. I am not sure what it is, shea butter smell or smth else...but it gave me a HORRIBLE headache and I barely have headaches! I guess it is personal sensitivity to the smell so you can never know before you try it but I cannot use it at all because of it.

Quite good for the hair
Rated with 5 out of 5 stars.
I use it mostly for the hair, melting 2-3 small spoons, then leave it in the hair for at least 3 hours. After washing it, the hair is more soft. Maybe a bit frizzy, but overall is good.

Not exactly "Pure" or "Unrefined", but still safe & effective
Rated with 4 out of 5 stars.
I find the "Pure, unrefined" label to be a bit deceptive. I was a bit surprised to notice 2 other ingredients on the label beyond avocado & shea butter. It also contains "hydrogenated vegetable oil" and tocopherol. I know tocopherol is Vitamin E, which is good for our skin and serves as a preservative as well. However I've never seen hydrogenated vegetable oil on a skin product. I don't see a problem with putting it on my skin, though I am so accustomed to avoiding hydrogenated oils in my food that I had to fight my initial revulsion at seeing it on the label.
I do find that it is nice and thick, it works great for moisturizing my hands and elbows on dry winter days. In the summer, however, it gets quite soft and the texture is a bit odd.
