Description
The Kessa Peeling Glove by Le Erbe di Janas gently removes dead skin cells, toxins and impurities while the skin's microcirculation is stimulated. It is made of 100% plant viscose which leaves behind a pleasantly silky skin feel.
Application:
- Use on the body several times a day (not suitable for the face!).
- Warm the skin under the shower to open the pores.
- Apply black soap and leave on the skin for 10 minutes.
- Rinse the body and towel dry gently.
- Use the glove to massage the skin with circular motions, applying light pressure.
- Rinse the body with warm (not hot!) water.
- Rinse the glove and let it dry well.
- Follow with a pampering cream or body oil (according to Morrocan tradition argan oil should be used after a kessa peeling).

I am trying to become a minimalist in my beauty regiment as well as other aspects of my life. I used to have dozens of cosmetics in my bathroom including sugar body scrubs. I never felt like they did a good job. One day I read an article about Arabic beauty secrets and I was instantly drawn to their routine. I bought 2 of these gloves and savon noir soap for exfoliating. I absolutely love the rough fabric and the way that method of exfoliation leaves my skin very soft. At the same time I also started using Aleppo soap in the shower. One day I left it on by my skin for few minutes like I did with savon noir soap and I noticed it had the same effect. I was delighted I could skip one product that comes in plastic. My only products in the shower when it comes to body care is Aleppo Soap with silk mittens for everyday, and once or twice a week Kessa gloves ( I wanted to have 2, to make my life even easier) with Aleppo soap also. It doesn’t get easier than this. I wash my gloves every other week and I am hoping they’ll last me another good while. My skin has never been softer and I don’t even need to use my home made body lotion. I do, if I’m in the sun and in winter. I love my simple routine.
