Citrus Aurantifolia (Lime) Oil, Citrus Aurantifolia (Lime) Peel Oil

Lime is from the family Rutaceae and is mainly cultivated in Italy and Mexico. Its oil is extracted from its skin and is used in skin care as an antiseptic, antibacterial and antiviral treatment. It is suitable for skin care products for acne and irritated skin, and alleviates insect bites. In addition, lime oil is suitable for the care of callused skin. Due to its circulation enhancing effect, it is also great for the care of weak connective tissue and cellulite. Also ideal for the care of nails and cuticles, and oral mucosa. Likewise, lime may be used in deodorants. However, caution should be exercised when the skin is exposed to strong sunlight after treatment with lime oil as this can lead to light patches on the skin. In aromatherapy, lime helps mitigate depression and is mood enhancing and energizing.
